Dream Information

People usually sleep for a third of their lives, so only people and laboratories around the world are researching sleep. Sleep is a natural state, in which the sleeper's consciousness is changed and in which the sleeper has a reduced perception and sensory stimuli of his environment. Sleep and wakefulness alternate cyclically and are one of the significant biorhythms. What is important to us is that dreams occur in the REM phase of sleep. You can see more about it here. A man dreams 4 to 5 times in 20 minutes during the night. The dream is deprived of the dreamer's voluntary action and there is only so much consciousness in it, that we can remember the dream. Dreams in which the dreamer can voluntarily influence the action and in which the dreamer is aware of the dream are called lucid dreams. Dreams are considered to be the apparent form of the unconscious and the subconscious.

As for the interpretations and meanings of dreams, people have been dealing with onyromancy (dream interpretation) since the earliest times. The interpretation of dreams is mentioned even in the Old Testament where Joseph interprets Pharaoh's dreams. Science today believes that the content of dreams reflects the random situation of the neural circuits of the brain, either due to a spontaneous outburst or due to the action of the environment, and the tendency of the brain to bring order to irregular activity. Psychologists have long been influenced by Freud, who believed that dreams were a reflection of repressed and subconscious desires and thoughts, and especially sexual conflicts.

The basic list of meanings in this online dream book was taken from a hundred-year-old dream book, but as these meanings proved to be incorrect and very outdated, we updated and improved them based on insights into the compilation of Russian, Western and Asian dream books, and even more, in in the meantime we have added meanings to new more modern terms. Some of these terms are, for example, dreaming of a computer, mp3 and mobile phone, dreaming of fashion, new hairstyles, mobile ringtones, dreaming of music, various things related to music and entertainment, video games, sports events, etc.… These are new modern things that they surround modern man, and at the time of the exploration of first dreams, they simply did not exist.
